RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the R&D Director or CTO to develop and implement the R&D strategy. Define clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the R&D team.
  • Project Management: Lead and oversee multiple R&D projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within the R&D team. Encourage creative thinking, ideation, and the development of cutting-edge solutions.
  • New Product Development: Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to commercialization. Ensure that new products meet market needs and quality standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant scientific advancements. Apply this knowledge to improve existing products and develop new ones.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a team of R&D professionals. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Budget Management: Manage the R&D budget efficiently, allocating resources appropriately to meet project goals.
  • Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that products meet the required standards. Identify and resolve quality issues as they arise.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that R&D activities comply with industry regulations and standards. Maintain records and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as Marketing, Production, and Sales, to align R&D efforts with overall company goals and product strategies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Food Science & Technology/Business or similar discipline. MBA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in R&D with a minimum of 5 years in food & beverage industry.
  • Passionate in food product development.
  • Proficiency in English both spoken & written, knowing Chinese is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully launching new products or technologies.
  • Good leadership and team management capabilities.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards relevant to the industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
